Barone appeared in the fourth-season Seinfeld episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham a chef who wanted Elaine Benes shoes. Then in the 90s, Barone appeared as a regular for Carol & Company alongside Carol Burnett. Barone was also the wife of Carol Willick Ross Geller in Friends' initial episode. Jane Sibbett replaced her after she left to take on full-time work. She starred on The Jeff Foxworthy Show during the beginning of the season (1995-1996) and The War at Home from 2005-2007. In 2000 Barone played a part in The sitcom Daddio. Barone was also seen in Desperate housewives, Curb Your Enthusiasm Quantum Leap Empty Nest Chicago Hope Castle Do Not disturb Ally McBeal Caroline In The City Party of Five, The Larry Sanders Show and Desperately Housewives. Barone won her Methodfest Best Supporting Actress Award in 2004 for her work in the feature film One Last Ride. Barone began her character as the mother of Bella Thorne and CeCe Jones in 2010 - three years after The War at Home concluded its run. Matthew Glave, Barone's actor husband was a guest on 2 episodes on Shake It Up in the character in the role of J.J. Jones.
