Bill Self is a very well-known basketball coach that is at the top of his profession. Born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, United States, on the 27th of December in the year 62 the self was recognized as one of the wealthiest and most well-known basketball coaches. In December 2023 Bill is value of approximately $10 million. Bill was director of the team at Kansas during the 2013 season. Bill was appointed coach assistant to the freshman sensation Andrew Wiggins. Self rebuilt the Golden Eagles and was then recruited to coach by Tulsa. Self spent three seasons (from 1998 through 2000) with Tulsa and posted a 74% record. Self was the coach of TU's Golden Hurricane into consecutive NCAA tournaments in 1999 and 2000. In the 1999-2000 season and in addition to breaking the school record for wins, accumulating a 32-5 record, Self led the Golden Hurricane to its first Elite Eight appearance. As a coach at the college level, Self coached Kansas University in 2012 to the NCAA Championship. He was awarded Naismith College coach of the year in 2012. The same year, he received his fourth Big 12 Award of Coach of Year. The year 1989 was the time he married Cindy Self. His son is called Tyler and his daughter is named Lauren. Self was born in Okmulgee where his father was the girls' basketball coach of Morris High School. The basketball scholarship was awarded to him from Oklahoma State University. He was awarded recommendations for all the four years. He graduated in 1985 with an undergraduate degree in business, and then in 1989 he graduated with a master's degree in sports management in the state of Oklahoma State. Self was appointed head coach of Illinois's basketball program on June 9, 2000. Self's predecessor, Lon Kruger, had quit the Illinois program to accept a position in the NBA as the head coach of the Atlanta Hawks.
