Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter at WPDE-TV. She then worked as a morning reporter and anchor for WCBD TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax response of the police to DUI incidents in Charleston caused an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor and investigative reporter at NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. As well as her job as the lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and also contributes to Dateline NBC. She's reported on the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She co-hosted both The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
